Birthday
It's my birthday today and it was a good one. Of course, I went to Disneyland and then later had a family dinner. The only problem is that I really don't want to go to work tomorrow. Really, really don't. And thinking about work on my birthday is depressing. Anyway, I had a great birthday weekend and I'm blessed with great friends and family. Here's to another year in my life; I pray that it will be a good one.

Ain't Feelin' Great
My throat is scratchy and my back hurts. I haven't had a cold in a really long time and I hope to keep this streak up. If the scratchy throat goes away, I think I'll stay healthy.
But it's more than physical for me. Things are changing and it's unsettling. I made a decision to go back to school while working and now I'm questioning my decision. I told one of my bosses about my decision and she handled it well. However, she's not the only one who can fire me. And it isn't like I'm completely sold on my job. Right now, I'm sold on stability and keeping my job for now. I'm starting to second guess this decision.
Other changes - one brother got engaged and pretty much only talks about the wedding which is going to be in two years. You heard me right, two years. He can be seen looking through wedding magazines and searching websites at all hours. Another brother is going to live at my aunt's house during the week so he's closer to school. It's not that these changes are bad; they are just unsettling. I just need and want to find even footing again.
At least God is always there and will never change. I've got to keep reminding myself of that.

Complaining
I complain a lot. Complain, whine, gripe-you name it, I do it. It's a big way of communicating for me. And I'm trying to cut back. I don't like that I complain so much. It's not healthy or really mature for that matter. I brought this up to my mom today and she said that maybe I complain a lot because I was brought up this way. She's probably on to something. My dad complains practically non-stop and I definitely don't want to end up like him. So, here's to truly turning my troubles over to God and working on communicating in a healthier, more positive way.
